Clarisse is the best! I was looking for a teacher to help me prep for the DELF A1. I didn’t have much time and wasn’t always the best prepared for our sessions but she was so patient and could always adjust our lessons accordingly. There was a last minute change in the timing of the oral section of the exam – 4 days earlier than expected. I was quite panicked but Clarisse squeezed me into her busy schedule, including a couple of evening time slots. I received 98.5% on my exam – couldn’t have done it without Clarisse

Mid last year, I was on the search for a French teacher after visiting my French boyfriend’s family. I knew after this first visit, it was time to dust off my French books and get back to basics. After asking on a Facebook group for recommendations, Clarisse had sent me a message and invited me to look at her Instagram.

We had a quick introductory chat and I knew right away she was the right teacher for me! She had told me one of her specialities was getting those with French speaking relatives, in-laws or partners having conversations. Not only was that exactly what I was looking for but knowing she had experience, put me at such ease.

Clarisse asked me what topics I would like to cover, how I would like to learn and where I would like to get to. I was pretty open to what I wanted my classes to look like but I know she would have followed my specific requests if I had any. I did ask for recommendations of a grammar book so I could refresh all the basic structures. She recommended a particular book that she also has access to. This meant that Clarisse was able to set me specific weekly tasks based on the topics we were doing in class- perfect!

Clarisse has lessons planned in advance on a shared document so you can easily follow along and even take a look back and previous lessons if you need a refresher.

Learning languages can be scary but I have never felt under pressure or nervous about joining my classes. If anyone is looking for a professional but fun and relaxed way to learn French, I could not recommend Clarisse enough! From speaking, to listening and reading, Clarisse will have all your French needs covered!
